Legal Aspects
We will advise on the legal aspects of getting married in France on your first initial trip to France. The French government requires certain criteria be met before couples marry.
Religious ceremonies are not recognised as legally official in France and it is therefore necessary for both locals and visitors to conduct a civil marriage beforehand.
For most couples, paperwork at home followed by a church service or non religious blessing in France is the best option.
No two weddings are the same, but to give you an idea of costs here is an example of a celebration for 50 people
all inclusive
Starting price for 50 guests is an incredible €11,995 fully inclusive (which is nearly under £10,000 at todays exchange rate) including:
- airport collection from Nantes or La Rochelle airports and one nights luxury accomodation with dinner bed and breakfast upon initial enquiry to view venues and for initial meeting
- 3 nights accomodation full board within bridal suite
- private venue hire within a fabulous choice of local chateaux
- religious minister to conduct ceremony
- flowers
- champagne reception and canapes for 50 people
- Gourmet four course meal with fine wines and champagne for the toast for 50 people
- Assistance and planning throughout the whole process
Extras can be arranged including photographer, vintage cars for photo shoots, accomodation for guests / family, video shoots, hairdresser, beautician, extensive decorations around a theme, evening entertainment, page boys/girls, musicians (such as harpists, violinists, jazz, dj or karaoke dependant upon requirements), fireworks, limousine, horse and carriage with two white horses.
